Our Community

Highfields Retreat is undoubtedly unique, but it’s not just the beautiful surroundings and tranquillity that make it so – it’s also our community feel. It’s a safe, secure, community of likeminded people, most of whom are 50+, and all of whom still appreciate good old traditional values such as giving your neighbour a hand, respecting others and holding a friendly positive outlook on life.

One of the great attractions for Highfields Retreat is that it is exclusive, in that the general public do not have any access, unless they’re visiting friends and family of the people who own holiday homes here. Site access is controlled by road barriers and the Park Managers & Wardens also reside at the entrance to the park, providing 24 hour security, and assistance when needed.

We’ll often see our holiday home owners out walking the dog/s, those who have stopped for a chat with each other, others enjoying barbeques together and there’s always a friendly face at our local pub, the Three Kings Inn, a place our customers often frequent and mix with the wider local community.

You can’t help but notice the friendly atmosphere on the park. Whilst everyone has their own interests, whether it be the fishing, or woodlands, or dog walks, or reading, or just having the space to relax, everyone enjoys the peace and quiet and the pleasant natural surroundings.

Along with the enjoyment you will get out of this lifestyle, perhaps the other key benefit of being part of such a community is the peace of mind – the knowledge that you are always safe whilst on park, there are people around to help if needed and socialise with as and when desired, but also that your Holiday Lodge will always be safe and monitored whilst you are away from the park.
